He is a past president of the Abraham Lincoln Association and the David Davis Mansion Foundation, member of the Advisory Board of the Papers of Abraham Lincoln, the Advisory Board of the Lincoln Forum in Gettysburg, and founding Chairman, Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission of McLean County, among other historical boards and committees. He is past President, McLean County Bar Association. Bob and Peggy live on a horse farm in McLean County, Illinois.
